Atomic Energy Licensing - ICRP / I.A.E.A. recommendations are
- based on dose-limits:
- Radiological workers: 20 mSv/y.
- Personal or visitors inside the hospital: 1mSv/y.
- Members of the public outside: 0,1 mSv/y. ALARA PRINCIPLE
Discharge limits:
- 1 mSv/y is used as a dose limit for the individual public. But this amount is according the sum of all kinds of radiation (i.e. power plant, medical examinations, cosmic etc., etc)
